International Order of Job's Daughters
Job's Daughters, or "Jobies," is an organization for young women 10 to 20. We bloast being within the Masonic Family, that is, linked to Freemasonry. We have official regalia that includes crowns and capes. Our meetings are regulated by a set agenda and Robert's Rules of Order. We learn public speaking, planning, organizing, budgeting, professional dress and people skills. We have a heck of a lot of fun too.
Here I am as Miss Arizona Job's Daughter 2008-2009. Annually a pageant is held to pick the Miss Arizona. In June 2008, I won. I spent the year visiting Bethels (groups) around the state, representing Job's Daughters to other Masonic organizations, and all around promoting Job's Daughters.
This year I am the Grand Bethel Senior Princess. This is another state-wide office that moves up to Grand Bethel Honored Queen. The Grand Bethel supports the local Bethels and plans state-wide events.
This is all very interesting, but this year I also plan CAMPOUT! This is an action-packed 35 hours in Prescott, Arizona. We have a meeting, eat, TP each other's cabins, go hiking, play in the snow, eat, sing songs, perform skits, eat, do crafts, and eat.
If you are interested in Job's Daughters or know someone who might be, contact me or go to the International Job's Daughters web site. If you live in Arizona, go to the Arizona Job's Daughters web site.

Society of Professional Journalists
At the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, I had the option to join many many prestigious and interesting J-organizations. The one that caught my interest was SPJ. As my SPJ experiences unfold, I will lay them out here.

Other Organizations:
All Saints Lutheran Church
While in high school I was very active with my church. I ran the web site, yo-zone.org. My sister has th reins now :) In my senior year I was the Church Event Organizer (C.E.O.). It was loads of fun and I still plan on being active in my church home.
Girl Scouts, 1997 to 2009
A lot of good memories came form those cookie-selling years. As we became older, we became bad ass Girl Scouts.
Concert band, 2000 to 2009
I played flute. I rocked it. I can even do a little jazz flute, if you like. I also became familiar with alto sax, which has the same "fingerings" as a flute.
Marching band, 2004 to 2009
Very different from concert band. In high school I loved marching band.
Autism Spectrum Alternative Program, 2000 to 2007
I volunteered giving children with autism equine therapy. I worked with horses like Flame and Magenta and children like Alexandra and Christopher. Those horses worked magic. You could see it in the children's faces.
